PRE/POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN ETHIOPIA

The Hubert Department of Global Health (HGH), Rollins School of Public Health (RSPH) and Emory University announce fellowships for pre or post-doctoral trainees mainly in the fields of Health science(medicine, public health or Nursing), Anthropology and Mathematics/ computational Science (Geographical Information Mathematics/Computational Science/Geographical Information Systems or Bioinformatics/Biostatistics).
It is a full-time, residential fellowship for a period of one year (6 months of fieldwork in Ethiopia and 3months at Emory).

Eligibility
· Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D. or be Ph.D candidates in good standing in the Health sciences, mathematics and computational science, informatics, anthropology, sociology or economics.

· Must possess excellent skills in quantitative,qualitative research and writing, as well as a demonstrated interest in and understanding of issues in global health research in Ethiopia.

Successful candidates will participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, working across disciplinary boundaries with which the person may be unfamiliar for addressing substantive concerns in Global Health and the matching of an applicant’s research interests with those of the ongoing projects in Ethiopia and faculty members who will serve as mentors. The various projects are:

- Water, Women and Development in Ethiopia
- Maternal and Neonatal Health in Ethiopia Partnership
- Improving Maternal Health
- Improving maternal, neonatal and child health outcomes through better designed nutrition policies and programs.
